Python Programming Fundamentals
Python is the most popular programming language in the world for a reason: it reads almost like plain English, it runs everywhere, and it powers some of the most ambitious projects on the planet - from Instagram's backend to NASA's data analysis pipelines. In this course, you will learn Python from absolute zero. You will write your first script, understand how Python thinks about data types, and progressively master control flow, data structures, functions, and object-oriented programming. Each module builds directly on the last, and every concept is grounded in practical mini-projects that reinforce what you have learned. By the end, you will build and ship a real Command-Line Task Manager that you can run on any computer.

Modules
Step-by-step masteryGetting Started with Python
Every expert was once a beginner who ran their first script. In this module, you will discover why Python has become the world's most beloved programming language and get your development environment set up. You will write and run your very first Python program, then learn how Python stores data using variables and the core data types: integers, floats, booleans, and strings. You will finish by mastering string manipulation — one of the most practical skills in any programmer's toolkit - and apply everything you have learned in a mini-project.
Control Flow
A program that runs the same code every single time is nothing more than a calculator. Control flow is what gives programs the ability to make decisions and repeat tasks. In this module, you will write conditional logic (if, elif, else) to branch program execution based on input. You will use for loops to iterate through data and while loops to repeat actions until a condition is met. You will also learn Python's elegant list comprehension syntax for writing expressive, concise transformations, and you will implement robust error handling using try/except so your programs fail gracefully instead of crashing.
Data Structures
Data is the raw material of every application. Python provides a rich set of built-in structures for organizing and retrieving data at incredible speeds. In this module, you will master Lists and Tuples for ordered sequences, Dictionaries for fast key-value lookups, and Sets for unique element collections. You will then go beyond in-memory data by learning how to read from and write to files — a critical skill for persistent data storage. Finally, you will learn how to organize your own code into reusable Modules and how to install third-party Packages via pip.
Functions & OOP
Good code is not just code that works — it is code that can be read, reused, and extended without breaking. In this module, you will learn to define clean, expressive functions with default arguments, *args, and **kwargs. You will write powerful single-expression functions using lambda syntax. Then, you will enter the world of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): building class-based blueprints, creating objects, and using inheritance and polymorphism to build scalable, modular systems that mirror the real world.
Capstone Project - CLI Task Manager
In this final capstone module, you will apply every skill you have learned across the entire course to build a real, working **Command-Line Task Manager**. You will design the application's architecture, implement full CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete), persist tasks between sessions using file-based JSON storage, and package the final application so it can be distributed and run on any computer. This project demonstrates your readiness to build production-quality Python scripts and is an excellent addition to your developer portfolio.
